Star Trek Star Trek Into Darkness, Avatar and The Curse of the Black Pearl. A trained ballet dancer Saldana had a modest beginning in the field of theatre. She was a part of numerous productions with FACES and the New York Youth theatre group before making an entry into the cinema world with the flick Center Stage. Saldana is a successful actress who has a long list of films that have been the highest-grossing worldwide. She is a versatile actress that gives her an edge over other actresses in her age. Saldana hasn't limited herself to one particular style and has portrayed effortless performance in films of wide-ranging subjects right from romantic comedy to tragedy science fiction, action-fiction to drama, and on. The ferocious concentration she displays as well as the determination of her mind have allowed her to be able to portray such a variety of characters.
